Howdy internet friend, thanks for stopping by. If you are checking out this page, you are wondering a bit about who is "the sauce"? Dave Collins, AKA Whatever Sauce, is a hacker, musician, artist, husband, dad, philospher, historian, and a dude. My goal is to make the world a better place than before I was born.
I hold a graduate degree in history and undergraduate degrees in both philosophy and history. I enjoy writing and had an essay published in the Summer 2020 release of 2600: The Hacker Quarterly. I wrote a novel in 2020 and one of my new year resolutions of 2023 was to edit it and start work on book two. I started building this website in March of 2022, and it was designed and "updated" with the goal of making it look like it came straight out of the 1990s.
My aim with this site was initially to learn more about HTML and CSS. I wanted to get better at front end web development and rather than get stuck in tutorial purgatory, I built this website. I loved geocities.com and this is a great place to work on those skills and think about the good old days. I am not really interested in doing web dev, but I do like using this place to blog.
